One of the biggest problems dog owners have, is that when they go away, the dogs come out to play and eat whatever they can find in site. Even cheese! So the question is, can dogs eat cheese? The answer is YES! Some dogs are actually medicated and trained through the use of cheese. Cheese can also be a great way to hide any medicine or pills that your dog may not eat by itself.
There is a full message board over at DogForums, which discusses if dogs can eat cheese and how some people are using cheese to train their dogs, or give it to them as a treat.

Small cheese chunks are a great way to give pills. Sometimes I use turkey hot dog chunks if the cheese doesn’t work.
My dogs eat some cheese, yogurt, and cottage cheese every week in small amounts.
We also use cheese for training treats. Sometimes I cut it into bite-sized pieces and let it dry out a bit on a paper plate left on the counter top.
So there you have it… next time you are munching on some cheese and your four legged friend comes over and wants a little bite. Feel free to pass some along to your best friend, without the need to worry if cheese is good for dogs or not.
