Everyone loves peanut butter, so why not share some with your dog as well. The better question is, can dogs eat peanut butter? Is it healthy for them, and is there any thing else you should be looking out for?
Yes, dogs can eat peanut butter! Some people are extremely allergic to peanuts, however this has not been seen in many dogs. Peanuts and peanut butter is great for dogs, and it’s also a perfect snack for hiding medicine and keeping them busy for quite a long time.
Kong makes a bunch of rubber toys that you can hide treats in, and peanut butter also works well. Take a scoop of peanut butter and place it inside of a Kong and your dog will be busy for an hour trying to get all the peanut butter out. If you don’t have a Kong toy, and the peanut butter jar is empty, you can also let your dog lick everything out from it directly. Make sure there is nothing sharp on the container, or that it’s made out of glass.
