Kittens and cats love to play and it’s important to actively play with your feline daily. Of course, we cannot pay attention to our companion constantly, so it is good to have some toys which can occupy your cat independently. We’ve tried out a variety of toys and I thought I’d review a few that our kittens particularly love!
These crinkle fish are the best toy in our house. My girl kitten LOVES these crinkle fish. She picks them up in her mouth and carries them all over the house. She ‘protects’ then from her brother and tries to find safe hiding spots for them. We find them all over the house! This is an awesome toy.
ToyShoppe® Shrimp Bungee Cat Toy
This is one of the first toys we bought for our kittens. We would hook it onto their crate using the plastic loop. The cord is elastic, which creates a bobbing motion when your cat plays. Our kittens also love chewing on the sturdy paper “legs” on this shrimp. Despite all of their chewing, these “legs” have remained on the toy and haven’t fallen apart – great durability!
Petstages Green Magic Boomerang Buddy
I find that Petstages toys are more expensive than a lot of other cat toys on the market. However, they are of good quality materials. This Boomerang, or “banana” as we call it was too big for our kittens when we first brought them home. It was too big for them to really interact with and they didn’t pay it much attention.
Having grown quite a bit in the past few months, our kittens now really like their banana Boomerang. It’s got some weight to it, so you can throw it rather far. We toss the Boomerang across the room and the cats run after it.
The Petstages Green Magic Boomerang Buddy is also catnip filled. When we first opened this toy I could smell the fresh catnip and the cats now seem to love rolling around with this toy.
More toy reviews to come in future posts!
