Kyjen Hide-A-Squirrel Pet Toy Review

January 1, 2012 by PetFoodia

The Kyjen hide-a-squirrel pet toy is one of the toys that you can give to bored pets. It is an average-sized pet toy about 6 inches on all sides. It is also lightweight. Its main purpose is to entertain pets with the squeaking squirrels inside a tree trunk.

The large Kyjen hide-a-squirrel pet toy is apparently not the biggest of this type of toy. It has bigger versions namely the jumbo and ginormous. There is also a smaller version labeled as junior. This large hide-a-squirrel pet toy weighs about 7 ounces and average-sized dogs can easily wrestle and drag it. Fortunately, the materials used for this toy is highly durable. It can withstand tough play time making it a suitable toy for callous and big pets.

In terms of entertainment, most dogs and puppies will be kept busy for hours. Most of them don’t lose interest in this toy for months, too. However, it is best to alternate the toys that you will give them so they will be so much interested every now and then. The large version of Kyjen hide-a-squirrel pet toy only has three squirrels with squeakers inside each one of them. The sound and the appearance of the squirrels are definitely one of the reasons why dogs enjoy this toy.

The Kyjen hide-a-squirrel pet toy is also easy to be set up. There is no need for complex assembly. The toy comes out of the box exactly as how the dogs and puppies can play with them.

The Kyjen hide-a-squirrel pet toy can also help you increase your pet’s skills in solving puzzles. You can play with your dogs by hiding the three squirrels inside the tree trunk. Your dog will have to poke around the tree trunk before they can make the squirrels appear. It is also flexible. You can replace the squirrels with other toys like soft balls. The game goes the same way. You can hide the balls and your dog will have to make them come out of the holes in the tree trunk. Some people even use it as a toy for their kids mainly because of the soft materials and challenge of puzzle solving.

The Kyjen hide-a-squirrel pet toy currently costs $12. It is definitely a good deal considering the fun and puzzle-solving skill boost that you and your pet can get from it.
